Watercolorist Rena Brouwer will be the featured artist during the month of October.

Join us Saturday, October 14 at 2 p.m. for a live music and painting collaboration with Rena & pianist Cheryl Kaldahl.

Having created exceptional watercolors for more than 40 years, Rena Brouwer has taught watercolor at national art conventions, colleges, museums, state and nationwide community venues. In 2014, Rena collaborated with music conductor and director Nicholas Palmer and the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, closing their season with the Prelude Project by painting live onstage to the music of Debussy. We hope that our patrons will enjoy Rena & Cheryl's collaboration as much as her other audiences have!

An Artist Reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. the same day. Join us for light refreshments and a chance to see Rena paint to a live music performance!

About Cheryl Kaldahl: Cheryl has been composing, teaching and performing music for over 35 years.  With a deeply engrained passion for the arts and respect towards its mystical power to touch the soul, she embraces each musical endeavor and turns the dial towards its ability to speak to and connect with people in a way that words cannot fully express.

Shades Revisited

In September 2016, Guild Member Artists Jeanne McLeish and Mark Burkett spent one week painting on the trails at Shades State Park to celebrate Indiana's Bicentennial. Join us as we revisit these works during the month of November. A reception for the artists will be held Saturday, November 11 from 5-8 p.m. See and purchase these works, meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments!
